I really like this swimsuit, despite the thin material and lack of tummy control. It hides my belly well overall. The same material in a single layer would be too thin, but given the style, it works. I have a long torso but it had plenty of length. I wear a 16 on top and an 18 on bottom so I ordered a 2X. I think the 1X would have been way too tight so you may want to size up.1
