I'm 65 years old and shaped like the proverbial Little Teapot: short and stout. I'm 5'2" and weigh about 165 pounds. I carry my weight mainly in my stomach. So, essentially, I go out where I should go in, and in where I should go out. It's hard to find a bathing suit that I feel good in. But, wow, do I ever feel good in this one! It hides my sins and almost gives the illusion that I have an hourglass figure.

The lace-up back is cute and allows for fit adjustment. The ruffle can be worn either off-the-shoulder or pulled up to make pretty straps.

I wish that I had sized down, though. I got an XL based on the measurements, and I should have got an L. I’m going to have to figure out a way to take in the bottoms, because they gap between my stomach and my legs, and are not snug at the bottom of the butt, creating potential modesty problems both front and back. Also, I wish the back lacing was a little more open, for a sassier look, and a smaller size would have worked for that.

Also, the ruffle is printed on only one side. It is white underneath, and the underside can show sometimes, e.g. in the wind. It makes the suit appear cheap, which it is, but I don’t necessarily want everyone who sees me in it to know that. LOL.

Overall, though, I think this is a terrific suit for the price.
